This project is a collaboration between humanities, medical and social and behavioural science faculties. The central question is how health care providers (hospital staff) interact with aesthetic interventions, such as works of art in a hospital. The project also aims to explore how artistic interventions in health care can best be evaluated.

Planned activities include pilot fieldwork in the OLVG, cross-faculty workshops, and writing additional grant proposals to further develop this field of work.

This seed grant project builds on the existing work of a non-academic partner, Project Stimulus Foundation. This foundation is exploring the potential for collaboration between museums and hospitals to create sustainable working and living environments through the curation of art exhibition experiences. The research and concepts developed through the seed grant will form the academic pillar of this work.
